Rules * NEW FOR FALL 2026*
1) All ages are welcome!
-
Gymnasts age 5 and under MUST have a parent or guardian with them at all times and in full control of them. We recommend staying in the Pre-K Room, in the pit, and at the Tumbl Trak. However, gymnasts 5 and under will be allowed in the main gym this semester (trial run) under their parent/guardian's direct supervision. IF it becomes a safety concern, the Open Gym Supervisor can restrict where the participant can be in the gym. Parents/Guardians of gymnasts 5 and under do not need to pay for their entry, only the participant's. Parents/Guardians are NOT allowed on any equipment except the floor. Parents/Guardians must be 15+ years old and there is a maximum of 2 participants per 1 adult.
-
Gymnasts 6+ will not have a parent/guardian with them and should be able to conduct themselves appropriately without parental guidance.
2) Open Gym participants have free reign to utilize the equipment in the gym. This includes all apparatuses, mats, and tumbling aids. Inappropriate use of the equipment will not be tolerated. Horseplay will not be tolerated. All participants and their parents/guardians must conduct themselves with maturity, mindfulness, and awareness.
3) Participants should only practice skills and events they safely are able to.
4) There is an Open Gym Supervisor on site at all times during Open Gym. Their job is to SUPERVISE and ensure the safety of everyone. Open Gym is a NON-INSTRUCTIONAL, SELF-LEAD CLASS.
-
Because the #1 job of the Open Gym Supervisor is to ensure safety of everyone. They have the discretion to restrict participants to certain skills, restrict them to certain areas, and also suspend participants from the session if rules are not being followed after a first warning. If any participant is suspended from more than one session, they will be suspended indefinitely from Open Gym.
5) Participants must arrive between 1:00pm-1:30pm for Check-In. If nobody shows up for Open Gym by 1:30pm, Open Gym will conclude for the day.
6) There are no pro-rates for coming late or leaving early. Your session fee includes the 2 hour block of Open Gym for the day you pay for.
7)Re-entry same day is allowed.
8) If you are doing a make-up class, we recommend emailing nrgaboone@gmail.com at least an hour before the session so we can add you to the roster. This will allow you to have immediate entry at 1:00pm. You can also inform the Supervisor upon arrival and they can look it up in the system. One makeup token = one Open Gym session (2 hours, same day).
